ABDM Ecosystem Sandbox Exit Process

Overview

The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) aims to develop the backbone necessary to support the integrated digital health infrastructure of the country. It will bridge the existing gap amongst different stakeholders of healthcare ecosystem through digital highways.
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is working on bringing interoperability for digital health data in India. ABDM will manage the foundational digital building blocks that need to be adopted by all healthcare providers in the country.
Any Healthcare provider who is creating health data (diagnostic reports, discharge summaries, prescriptions, etc.) digitally should participate in ABDM. They will be able to share these records with the patients and fetch records issued by other providers with user consent.

Certification

Obtaining the benefits from ABDM ecosystem requires the hospital / lab information management system or electronic medical record software that is being used by the healthcare provider to be upgraded to become ABDM compliant.
The software being used by the provider must integrate with the digital building blocks of ABDM and comply with the guidelines outlined by ABDM and NHA. The ABDM sandbox has been setup to enable any software to integrate with the digital building blocks and test their compliance to the guidelines and digital health standards. The sandbox offers all the Open APIs available under ABDM.
NDHM requires the software be certified for compliance.

Role Of Certifier

  • Validate technical controls as defined by ABDM for the 3 milestones.
  • Automated Testing of ABDM ecosystem compliances using Self-Assessment kit.
  • Collect evidence of policy controls while validating the software.
  • Develop a report with PASS/FAIL results.

Certification Process

  • Details for test configuration will be provided.
  • You can run tests on your own once test configuration is complete.
  • Access to Self-assessment kit will be provided where you can login and see dashboard.
  • Support on using tool and analyzing report will be provided.
  • Final test report will be submitted to NHA for Certification.
